Hi everyone!

Sorry for the lack of updates recently. Life's been pretty hectic these days. Apart from the terrible sore throat, that I've been trying to recover from for WEEKS, all's good! This' definitely the BEST season of my entire life.

Past 2 weeks of SOT has been absolutely A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. Mind-blowing's probably the only word to describe it. Though there are tons of schedules & changes to meet & adjust to, I just have this sense of joy & peace in my heart. Guess it comes from knowing that you're really in the right place, at the right time!

Jodie is feeling a little tired but still very very happy!

By the way, I've just celebrated my 19th birthday! Yipee~!!

Hands down my most wonderful & happiest birthday ever. You will not believe just what I've received from this past week. Truly am speechless.

So Dear friends, families & loved ones...

Thank you SOOOOOOO much for all your love, care, concern & sacrifice. You people are my greatest treasure. And that's really all that I can say. So blessed!

Hi everyone!

Before I say anything else, HAPPY 21ST BIRTHDAY Jean! (Jean's my oldest sis & she just turned 21 on the 15th of March, 2008!) Congrats sis. U're officially an ADULT. The A word. Hoho.

Know that this post's long overdue. Been pretty swamped lately. Char wan said something pretty true today. Considering that I'm officially unemployed, I should be more free-ed up to blog right? This is Odd. Hmmmm.

In any case, yes, I am JOBLESS now. Felt kind of detached when I woke up today morning. It's like, "what should I be doing again?" Hahaha. Well I guess change is good, gives me time to take a short break & transit into a new life. Absolutely preparing myself for SOT now. Can't wait! *happy happy*

Met up with Ze Xian and Ashley for movie & lunch today. Seriously people, if u have not watched August Rush yet, u're missing out on one of the best movies ever! Very very very very good. Wonderful storyline, screenplay, music & acting aside, just look at this guy. Just look at him.

Jonathan Rhys Meyers. *dazed* A totally logical & perfect reason to catch the show. Prince like and a 100% adorable. I know I sound so B now but who cares. Bad boy looks, kind eyes & a killer smile.. what a way into a girl's heart. Even 90 year old grandmas will fall all over for this guy! Poor Zx was quite a victim of all my swooning today. Probably said that JRM was so cute for over 5 times today. AHAHAHHA.

Met up with Yu Ting (Ash's friend), Yan Kai, Sharon and Darryl (Yk's friend) soon after. Totally crazy I tell u. It was just meet ups after meet ups after meet ups. All was fun though. Had a great time chatting & eating (once again).

This' kinda like a preview of the week so more's coming up! Better start planning my time & all wisely. Esp since Easter's this weekend! Woo Hoo~! Cool stuff.

Had a celebratory night out with the ever x5 coolest JJJC (Joel, JX, Jodie, Char) after the results. Hung out at Newton Circus. Your typical S'pore kids that do what we're best at. Eating!! Hohoho. People like them bring colour to life. They really do. *smiles*

Saturday & Sunday was & is the ultimate breakthrough weekend for me. Beyond being blessed, I'm just so eternally and absolutely grateful.

All I can say is that God is a good & faithful God and that his word never fails.

Many people are afraid to pick up from where they left off and even more are afraid to face up to the possibilities ahead.

I'm just glad that I've got the chance to be so sure.

Time tells because it allows growth.

A big fat HELLO to all you cyber junkies out there!!

My number of nonsensical weird noises has just increased exponentially this week. Must be due to a lack of sleep. Please be duly warned.

Despite the freezing weather & abundance of sudden work, the week's turning out to be pretty good. Kind of warm & fuzzy. *smiles* How paradoxical.

It's pretty nice to have cold weather once in a while, makes u feel like u're in London or something. I want to go to London someday. Pretty sure that I'll like it over there. Will totally jump at a chance to study in London. *dreams* Oh! And I have to say this. Over here, from the 35th floor, the rain actually looks quite like snow! Cool eh?

That's how it is. Rain goes with city & Clear sky goes with country. Equally nice in their own way. Oh man. I want to travel around so badly.

Can't believe that I just spent 3 paragraphs talking about the weather! Fried brain. Hahaha. Back to earth.

Hanged out with Sherwin, Mich, Eileen & Yuet Feng on Tue. It was really fun. Tons of catching up plus laughter. And we went to HOOTERS for dinner!!! Obviously, 85% of the customers there were male. Ok. Make that 90%. HAHA.

Sherwin was a v happy boy. Kept telling him to go to the toilet to look around. He did. Came back looking a lil different. If u've ever been to HOOTERS, u'll know why. Hohoho.

Just if you're wondering, the standard of the girls there... *shakes head*. U got to seriously kill me & hang me by the rod like a dying fish before I'll ever wear anything with the slightest resemblance to that teeny weeny, orange sorry looking excuse for a uniform. (It's a v long sentence. And yes, you get the point.) The food there was pretty ok though. Limited choices but still, not too bad.

Truly enjoyed myself. Once again, it's the company. Always the company. Went on for some Hokkaido ice cream after. *2 thumbs up for this one!*

After the fun, it's time to work those blubber off. If I go on this way, I'll look like a whale really soon.

Had a great time last night with Char, Joel & Char's bro, Allan. His company's open bar is absolutely Fantastic. Enjoyed myself through & through. We had like an unlimited flow of drinks. Not that we drank a lot but it's free drinks people. Free drinks! We even had a mini tutorial on all the diff. aspects of alcohol. So cool.

Went off for some abalone & sharks fin after (I know how it sounds). Not exactly what u have in mind but still, totally good & genuine stuff. We even got a treat!! WAHAHAHHAHA. So blessed.

I really do feel so v blessed & v loved. Beyond all the wonderful people I have around me, this whole week has just been filled with uncountable blessings. Keep getting treats on I believe almost every, if not, every other day. Good right! And to top it of (here comes the highlight), I just got a brand new Fossil watch!!!!!!!!! WOO HOO~!

It's a lil ex but mum said that it's an early birthday present & I totally love it. Got to choose it myself. AHAHAHHAAHHAHA. Thanks Mum!

Okay. I only have 10 mins before lunchtime so this is coming in like ultra-fast!

Had the most awesome time with char & JX last night. The gang's officially called JJJC which stands for JX, Joel, Jodie, Char and it is in relation, a 100% UNRELATED to that school. If u know what I'm talking about.

In any case, yesterday night was so fun. I must say that I'm not a fan of pizza. Never was and never will be. But! Hanging out with them makes stuffing absolutely worth it. Everytime we hang out, we'll stay til the shop closes on us. Hahaha. Happy times ppl. Happy times.

In any case, shops should open longer! Just think about it. Singaporeans are like night cats and on top of it, we're supposed to be a tourist attraction with a vibrant night life! Can u imagine ppl chasing business out when it's only 10pm? Life's so demanding now & everybody's making full use of every waking hour! People even step out of their house at 10pm. We should be catering to a new culture everyone.

Anyway, u should all know by now that a terrorist is at large!!!!
And I'm working right smack in the city, at a statutory board.

Ok. It's bored at work a.k.a blogging time again!

This whole sore throat thing's a total pest but oh wells, at least I'm off the phone for a while. How nice. Seriously, being off phone is like having hot soup on a rainy day. Absolute comfort & relief.

I really do miss times like those. (referring to hot soup & rainy days) U know moments that are just so beautifully natural, unplanned and just a wonderful occurence of chance? Allow nature to take its course. Planning, goal setting & all is wonderful but once in a while, it'll be nice to just take pride & joy in the moment. In fact, it makes more sense to be grateful for the little things. Stuff like that keeps a person happy everyday.

Maybe it's not they don't exist anymore, we're probably just too busy too notice. I shall make an effort to be more appreciative & observant now. *pats eyes*

I'm such a loser when it comes to stuff like that. Hoho. I guess everyone's got something to fall hopelessly in love for right? *smiles like a total geek*

Speaking of which, Big City Dream's been on my repeat for like the past 3 days! Seriously, I have no idea why. It's just soothing. Now we know why people say music's therapy.

Ok. I'm back. Healthy this time.

Thanks for all your concern & prayers. Feeling tons better already.

It's been a pretty odd & rough week.

Injured my tendon on tuesday, fever came & voice went on wednesday. Knocked out for like 10 over hours since yesterday night.

Absolutely HATE getting sick. Felt like a total bum the whole day. Needless to say, pills. Urgh.

In any case, I'm fast on the road to full recovery!! Determined to get my health, life & fitness back this year. Go go go! Focus Jodie Goh. FOCUS.

Had a great meal with Char & JX at tuckshop today. Food was good and the company was great. Had so much fun just chatting & sharing with each other. Thank God for such wonderful friends that not only understands but goes through both the good & the bad as well.

Will be turning 19 in just a little over 2 months.

Have been putting quite some thought into what I really want to do with the time I have ahead. There are dreams & desires that are and will be left unshared. Even so, one thing's for sure. I want to make the best use of this life, esp my youth!

Grabbing opportunities as they come my way, explore places, try new things & just give myself more space & opportunity to grow. To open these eyes to new people and adventures. Just to experience them & understand that along this way, I'll become the person that I know I can and want to be.

I know that I'm young & that I'll make mistakes, but shouldn't we all have something to live & chase after for? Adulthood is not a given. No one can or should give it to you. Neither is it something that comes with age. Adulthood is something that we have to grow & mature into. Knowing that as I grow, I'll know myself better, have a clearer vision of my future & just live everyday with greater purpose, joy & happiness.

It's not self-indulgent or wasting my life away but a call to have my own shot at life. To have the freedom to try. Freedom to love the things I love. Freedom to make mistakes.

So many people live their life working hard, trying and giving up. Eventually, they just end up getting lost, settling for the very least & become, not unhappy but just, plain mediocre.

I don't want an unfulfilled life of regret, always wondering or constantly feeling so limited & defeated. Even if I do make mistakes, at least I know that they are my own and after which, at least I'll find greater courage to overcome them right?

I'll always honor & be eternally grateful for the things that I have but chasing a dream, a good & true dream, doesn't mean selfishness or forsaking these things. It just means u treasure, learn, keep what's true & just become a better person.

Feel so over-protected, naive and unaware. The world is so big and having lived for 19 years, I have tried little and have nothing to account for. Something must have went wrong somewhere. I'm gonna live differently and more powerfully from now on. Enough of allowing fear, doubt & confusion to lead my life. I'll take & create my own chances. U never know how high u can fly until u flap your wings right?

I don't need understanding, I don't need blessings, I don't even need support. I just need trust. A word unspoken & so rarely given. However, even without it, I will still go my own way. Only time will tell whats right and whats wrong. Decisions last a lifetime.

Looking at all the romance & renewal of vows in Svc yesterday, I must say that it really does stink to be single in such a season.

Oh wells. There's always next year, the following year, the year after... AHHHHH!

In any case, still do feel thoroughly blessed. It's nice watching couples in love. Especially the old ones. Haha.

Have to admit that I'm quite a hopeless romantic. Anyone who knows me well enough will know just how crazy I am when it comes to Richard Gere, romance movies & love stories. Typical but still undeniably, a soft spot for most girls. (most guys too. admit it.)

Best thing about valentine is not just all about the romancing but the fact that you have every reason to be open about it. All the skeptics & cynics can just keep their big mouths shut!

There's enough sadness in the world without us adding any to it. Guess that's why I like believing in love, goodness and all the rest of it. If valentine's means being honest with how u feel, I do hope everyday's V day.

Firstly, dong dong dong chiang!!! It's chinese new year!!!!

Can't tell u how appreciative I am for the longgggg holiday. It's great to be able to just sit back & spend time with family & friends.

All's pretty well so far exp for the fact that there's TOO MUCH FOOD!

Can u believe it? There's like a snowstorm in China where food level's totally dying & here we are, stuffing our face with more makan after makan. Singaporeans are truly a blessed bunch I tell you.

Hello everybody!

For once, I'm not blogging from work but home! How cool is that. Woke up early today. Gonna make full use of every single moment. *happy happy*

Met up with the FATS yesterday night. Movie & popcorns for dinner. 27 dresses' like the perfect girl show.

Truly enjoyed it through & through. Not that the plot was fantastic or anything but it just had the right mix of sweet, funny & heart breaking moments. What a feel good movie. Glad that I watched it with two girls. Not too sure about guys & chic flicks, but I'm definite about getting the DVD the moment it comes out. Can't wait to watch it all over again. Woo Hoo!

Had a pretty sad realisation yesterday. I'm losing weight. Before u go around getting puzzled, it's bad cause I'm totally losing it at all the wrong places. Why? Why? Why?

I'll look like a half eaten apple (small face & upper body, big lower body) if this goes on. NO! NO! NO!

Oh wells. Just hope that it'll balance out quick & soon. Gonna focus more on lower body workouts from now on. I need to pray for anointed weight loss.

Here's the breakdown of what went on this past week.

Lets start with Fri. Ooo~. So love Fridays. Firstly, it was pay day. Secondly, I had the most awesome time shopping with dearest B1. All was well except for the fact that Midnight shopping is so NOT Midnight in Singapore. The shops were closing at like 10.30! It was kinda disappointing but good in a way, cause we're planning to go for round 2 TOMORROW!!! WAHAHAHAH.

Saturday was great too. After my relentless scrubbing, mopping, wiping & moving, my room's finally transformed!!! I must add, shopping at IKEA's definitely one of the happiest thing to do on earth. All the pretty & cool stuff. Needless to add, ultra cheap hotdog too! HOHOHOO.

Til now, my room's about 80% complete. Just some new details, additions etc. and viola! It's ready for the new year!!!

Honestly, apart from Christmas, CNY's probably the next coolest holiday(For youths at least). Just think about it. Total makeovers & a guilt free reason to receive cash. How cool is that? I bet the caucasians kids are totally boiling over & trying to invent such a day for themselves. Hohoho.

Sunday was extremely gooood. Pst. A. R Bernard shared about reputation & character. Which is something that many of us are consistently conscious about but, at the same time, are tarnishing & compromising with all the daily decisions we make.

So here we are, back at monday. Totally packed already but once again, Life's good.

Gonna go for dinner & movie with the FATS tonight then it's shopping with B1 tmr! *happy dance*

Only thing now is that all happiness comes with a price. In this case, it literally means price tag after price tags. Oh wells. Better remind myself to keep my head back on.

HELLO SINGAPORE!

WAHAHAHHA. Had to say that. If I ever do become a deejay, it'll only be for one reason. To wake the entire Singapore with my nonsensical laugh, noises & calls. How fun. Hoho.

Well, it's a brand new week. Outlook's pretty bright & good so far. Do pray that it'll continue this way.

I'm starting to set into the whole habit of blogging already. Not too bad.

Though it's a little like walking around orchard with a sandwich board carrying your entire life story, blogging's pretty good for the soul I guess. Freedom of speech & thought. Gives you an avenue to muck up courage for sharing as well.

Boss (Sharon) asked me a question recently. She asked me what kind of guys do I go for. Told her good guys. Hoho.

Went on a little more but didn't exactly give her a good or specific answer still. Realised that I haven't really placed much, if not any, thought into it. So lets try.

Thank God my tutoring got postponed to tomorrow. If not, judging by the state (zombie-fied) that I was in today, I probably would have taught her total nonsense & not notice a single thing.

I shall do my utmost best to avoid such circumstances in future.

In any case, it was still a great time of catching up with mich(thur) and the FATS (fri).

Decided to get my tattoo done in June. As to why I have to wait till June, I would rather leave this undiscussed. Long story.

IN ANY CASE, I'm still considering the design. Will probably get a simple African or Maori symbol. If not, a simple floral design will be pretty cool too. Got my eyes on one or two of them already. We shall see. *smiles*

Meanwhile, as a prelude to my upcoming future, decided to get some henna done.

Hello!

Using whatever's left of my little lunch break to type this entry in.

Had a problematic call before lunch. Sometimes, u really will feel that your true self and heart's tested in this job.

Daily all I see are divorce cases, family breakups, hardships etc. and it seems like everyone has their own story. And they do. The truth is, there really isn't much that we can do for them and at times u'll just feel a lil... incapable.

My colleagues even commented "u'll get used to this, after a while u won't feel anything. If these things don't happen, u'll have no job".

That really felt so terrible. Told prissy my compassion really thinned dwn today.

Will only be working a few months here. Even so, it's been an eye opener & a good training ground.

So all of us blessed ppl out there, be sure to spread as much joy as u can ya! Trust me, it makes a big difference.

Hello everyone

Had a wonderfuk week. Apart frm my nonsensical work days with prissy, who constantly tried to tempt me out of my wondrous diet (BAD PRISSY! BAD! -yes. I talk to her as if she's like a cat cause she totally behaves like one. purr.) that has lasted so far for one FULL week, I've had a pretty peaceful, good & fulfilling time. Even managed to run twice & do a full round of yoga! WAHAHHAHA. Will add on slowly. Working on it. Working.

To all fellow determined & resoluted health junkie wannabes out there, do u know that u hv to exercise for at least 5 days a week, 30 mins each with a pretty high intensity for effective weight loss?And If you're just looking at maintaining a healthy body, 3 days a week's fine enough. :)

As for svc, Pst. Tan really nailed it & preached a great message today. The message was on forgiveness. Though I genuinely don't think there's any unforgiveness in my heart (not to my knowledge at least), still am extrememly blessed and impacted. Currently trying to figure if there's any1 that I may owe an apology to. So if owe you one, pls do let me know ya? Would sincerely appreciate it. ;)

Beyond forgiveness, the message and knowledge of Re-focusing & Value judgement can truly be used in almost every situation & aspect of life as well. So simple but yet powerful & true. Just got to put it to good use. Even if we may not feel tt we need to forgive or be forgiven now, we'll never know just when this message may just come in handy. Truth is, ppl get hurt & we hurt ppl all the time. Keeping these understandings & principles in our heart's impt if we want to learn hw to handle those situations well.

For everyone out there, here's what forgiveness stands for:

1. Real forgiveness is unconditional
2. Forgiveness does not minimise the seriousness of the offence
3. Forgiveness isn't resuming a relationship without change
4. Forgiveness isn't forgetting what has happened
5. Forgiveness isn't my right when I wasn't the one hurt

HELLO!

It's bored at work/blogging time again!

Can u believe it? This time I finished my work at 11am! Before Lunchtime!

Just if u're wondering, no, I'm not going to blog like 15 times today. Gonna be on phone duty later. =(

Now that, is no fun at all. I'd rather go ard irritating my colleagues or hop frm toilet to toilet for 5 hrs. At least it's fun. Tts the thing abt working with statutory boards. Phone calls. Urgh. Trust me. Singaporeans can be pretty weird & irritating.

On the happy side, had a totally insane time with B1, Sharon & JX yesterday night. Steamboat at bugis. Firstly, I must say, I do kind of pity JX. Not like being the only guy wasn't bad enough, we were seriously taking turns to torture him. But since u kept calling me Jora the explorer with an uncommon face (so long), my sympathy ends here. Too bad brother. WAHAHHAHA.

Just for the record, the comedian Mark Lee was sitting at the table next to us. However, being us, we couldn't be bothered and just went on laughing like crazy. Not like there was anything to bother abt in the first place. B1 dared me to take a pic with him & I dared her to get his signature like some fanatic fan would. Obviously, none of the above happened.

The entire night was just filled with laughter, HOHOHOs & even more HAHAHAs. The cab ride back was the ultimate. Genuinely do think tt I have the funniest CGL ever. My abdominal muscles are even feeling a little cramped nw. Must be a result of excessive laughter.

CAN'T believe tt I'm at work on New Year's Eve!!!!!!

On e better side, at least I have half the day off & internet access unlike poor prissy who's totally rotting (like literally) at her desk right now. WAHAHHAHAHA.

Had an absolutely wonderful weekend. Went shopping with mum on fri & bought this pair of absolutely KILLER HOT shoes. Killed my sis tt I didn't hv to pay for it. WAHAHAHHAHA. Shiok.

Thanksgiving on SAT was great. You guys r truly the coolest CG ever. We ate, ate and ate even more. *shakes head* Caught I am Legend after. Now this, I have A LOT to talk abt.

Firstly, the movie's pretty good but it's genuinely quite scary alright. My B1 totally agrees with me. Kinda pity yun ting & sharon cause they were sitting next to me & I was kinda jumpy throughout the entire movie. And I really mean jumpy as in every 15 mins or less. *apologetic face* I even had to pat my chest for like 5 mins after the movie just to regulate my heart beat. Not joking.

I know hw it all sounds but I'm nt a scaredy cat. (Even if I'm saying so myself). Just nt too good with thrillers & horror movies. So note to self: Avoid horror movies & thrillers after age 65. BAD FOR HEART AND MIND.

Sunday was just an absolutely happy & wonderful day. Svc was really good. Pst. preached abt change and I truly do agree with him. '08's gonna b a year of change for most of us and we got to b willing & ready to accept it. So Super Zuper excited. Can't wait for the New Year which is coming in like approx. 13 hrs only! Woo Hoo~! *hops ard in excitement*

Met up with Wei long, Sherwin & Qi min for dinner after at Changing Appetites. Food's pretty good but the company was much better :) These 3 were my study partners during Os (if u consider our time together studying) and every time we meet up, it's just one big FAT ball of fun I tell u. Thanks for the great time guys. Let's plan e next night/day out soon!

HELLO everybody!

Really. Why can't s'pore celebrate boxing day? It'll add so much more joy to the festive season!

Work was seriously quite agonising today.

Picture this. 2 wonderful holidays: Christmas and New year. *Beautiful* and In between: 4 Working Days & only one glorious weekend. *bummer*

Even so, NOTHING and I mean NOTHING's gonna stand in the way of my holiday mood. Esp with SHOPPING cmin on Fri. Woo Hoo~! *B moment*

Had a totally fun filled xmas celebration tt spanned across 4 days. Though there wasn't the usual crazy ding dongs going ard, this year's christmas' my best & most meaningful one so far. It's always e ppl tt bring abt e Xmas spirit. Never the noise or decorations. So thanks every1 for such an awesome Christmas!!! HOHOHO!

Xmas' over & it's time for SERIOUS blogging!!

Before I go on ranting abt all e wonderful things tt happened over the past 2 wks, just want to start off by thanking all the wonderful ppl in my life.

Dad, Mum & Older sis Jean for ur sacrificial love. The three of u hv seen the worst side of me but u still love me all the same. U didn't hv to but u chose to. Thank you for ur giving, love, patience & forgiveness.

Twins a.k.a my babies. Thank you both for being the biggest joy in my life. Though I'm probably one of the craziest & most irritating sis, e both of u still take it all in anyway. Really love the tigger tt u bought. Know tt it probably cost a bomb. Will treasure them all w my life :)

This blog is officially 4 days old!

Time's passing so rapidly tt even the speed of light undervalues it.

Just 3 wks til the end of the yr.

This juncture's a time tt w the impending end in mind, u just got to give ur best shot, end the year well and enter into 2008 w greater hope, dreams & expectations.

Nw's a pretty good time to start looking back & reflecting on '07...

Personally, it's been a pretty long but good year. Sometimes towards the end u may feel a lil weary but it's ok. At least u know tt u've worked it out somehow & u've moved on to become a better & more wiser person.

And all u've got to do is pick urself up & cme back stronger!!

The saddest way to live life will be tt of endless repetition. Always knowing, controlling & expecting what's ahead mayb safe/secure but it's definitely Meaningless.

I'm nt gonna grow old like tt. That's y in '08 I wanna learn hw to b more spontaneous, joyful & just live an even fuller life. Guess tt's what '07's taught me.

To learn hw to build experiences & nt just upon them. To focus on the growth instead of the stretching, the more & nt the less and the joy instead of the suffering.

Always, what a good year it has been.

And w all my heart, I really pray for '08 to b a year of strong, new beginnings & even greater breakthrus!

And may the same b to every1 of u reading this. Know it's a lil personal but whu cares, it's my blog! And u're probably nt gonna read anything like this smetime soon.

Firstly, i must must must must must* blog abt ydae's dinner w the Wan sisters. HOHO.

U'll be AMAZED at hw much food 3 ppl can eat. Just need to get my hands on those pics. *greedy face*

Lunch at amoy street or however or wadeva u spell it was GOOD. Though, as usual, i hv close to zero sense in choosing e right food, food guide char & food queen prissy still made eating seem like the most Wonderful & Important thing ever.

U see. This is hw twisted things wk. The MORE I try to diet, the MORE I'll find food surrounding me. My wkplace, get togethers, everything! Even this freakin blogskin is all abt food! AHHHHHHHHHHH.
